Welcome
As you are escorted by an MPS Advocate into the Baby Boutique, you step into a space made just for you! You are first greeted by “A Mother’s Prayer”, reminding you of the support you have around you at Muskegon Pregnancy Services. Baby clothes ranging in sizes from newborn to 24 months line shelves. Soft white decorations create a sense of elegance and comfort that all feel as they walk through the doors. Not only that, but you are reminded it is a safe space for you and your baby.
But this boutique is unique, you don’t pay with cash or checks, you pay with the points you earn from taking Muskegon Pregnancy Services’ RiseUp parenting classes. Walking through the baby boutique, one may run into a large area equipped with a television, table, and chairs. Here, professionals from the community teach extra classes ranging from birth to the period of the purple cry. Participants earn extra points taking these classes and get a chance to mingle with other moms and dads in the program.
Besides a plethora of adorable clothing for baby boys and girls, the baby boutique is always stocked with baby blankets, baby care items, and larger items like cribs, mattresses, and car seats. Cribs, mattresses, and car seats always come brand new! This is for the safety of your baby and a chance to get a crib that belongs all to you.
Preparing the Baby Boutique
Dedicated volunteers are responsible for restocking and taking good care of the baby boutique, sorting gently used or new baby clothes by season and size to display on the racks. They work diligently for all to feel welcome and to constantly be improving the baby boutique.

For all the expectant moms and supportive dads, whether patiently awaiting their baby or anxious about the journey ahead, you are welcome at MPS. Volunteers and staff want you to know they are here to support you and give you the resources you need.
